The Three Muses Challenge - Beatles Lyrics - NOWHERE MAN

What a great repository of lyrics to be found in the many songs of the Beatles.  Nice challenge, Ann.  I have chosen "Nowhere Man".  The background is from Lorie Davison, the image from Finecrafted Designs.

Digital Whisper Challenge - Barefoot

"Your feet's too big" is a song by Fats Waller. It's a long song so I will include only a couple of verses.

Say up in Harlem at a table for two
There were four of us, me, your big feet and you
From your ankles up, I'd say you sure are sweet
From there down there's just too much feet

Yes, your feet's too big
Don't want you, 'cause your feet's too big
Can't love you, cause your feet's too big
I really hate you, 'cause your feet's too big

Mostly painted by me except for the face (Googled) and the Photoshop splash brush.

Take a Word Challenge - Dancer

Unfortunately, the lady's dreams of becoming a prima ballerina were dashed when she wore the wrong shoes!  The background is a scanned dictionary page, aged and altered.  The ballerina is a Photoshop brush silhouette.  Not sure where I found the image but it has been altered and added to.

Digital Whisper Challenge - PICNIC

Thanks to Patti for a very challenging challenge!!  I painted the background (digitally in ArtRage), googled the picnic goodies and used images from Courtney at Scrapbookgraphics.

Three Muses Challenge - Fish

This week our theme fish.  I found black and white line drawings of the two fish at Google Images and painted them, using "metallic" paints in ArtRage digital painting software.  The sea plants, bubbles and seawater are from Lorie Davison at Scrapbookgraphics.

The Three Muses Challenge - MALE OF THE SPECIES

Thanks to Ann for inviting us to include a MAN in our creations this week.  We probably don't feature them enough so this is a great opportunity.  Thanks, Ann.
The image on the left was Googled and altered.  The old book backgrounds are from Maya at Scrapbookgraphics.  The advertisement on the right is from JenU Designs (no longer selling).

Take a Word Challenge - Timepieces

There's a saying that a gambler loses the shirt off his back.  Well, this lady lost more than her shirt.  Fortunately she found a very fetching vintage clock to preserve her dignity.
Image (extracted, coloured and altered) from e-vint.com. Googled clock.  Everything else from Cryztal Rain at Mischief Circus.

Digital Whisper Challenge - FRECKLES

This week the challenge at Digital Whisper is to create some art featuring freckles.  Thanks, Patti!! The background is a scanned page from an old dictionary of mine - with added colour and brushes.  The two little redheads are from a collection at Hidden Vintage Studios, sadly no longer operating.

Digital Whisper Challenge - Venus

I couldn't stop at one.  It's such a delicious challenge.  Venus was extracted from "Birth of Venus" and (ahem) overpainted a little bit.  No guessing who she has become.  All the backgrounds and elements are from Rosey Posey at Scraphbookgraphics.

Digital Whisper Challenge - Venus - History of the Swimsuit in Pictures

Our lovely model, Venus, shows us swimsuits through the decades.  "The Birth of Venus" from Google Images, overpainted by me.
